Downtown will please house buyers that appreciate various modes of transportation. This part of Edmonton has an excellent public transit infrastructure by reason of many nearby rapid transit stations on the Metro Line, Route 512 and Capital Line, and over 50 nearby bus lines. This neighbourhood is also a very pleasant part of Edmonton for pedestrians; most daily needs are straightforward to carry out on foot, and a variety of businesses are reasonably nearby. Cycling is convenient in Downtown because Downtown features an excellent bicycling infrastructure.
Services
It is very easy to access both a general and a specialty grocery store on foot from anywhere in Downtown. Additionally, this part of Edmonton is a fairly good place in which to eat out or go to a cafe. It is also a rather short distance to a decent selection of clothing stores. Character
Downtown is a "jack-of-all-trades" when it comes to the feel of this neighbourhood. Finding things to do is easy in this neighbourhood. Even though few entertainment venues can be found nearby, the streets are very often busy with people, and with its approximately 20 bars, there are options for nighttime activities. 104th Street Northwest in particular offers a great variety of nightlife. The noise levels in Downtown are reasonably low, as noise from streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue. There are a few green spaces close by for residents to check out and they are very well-spread out, making them very easy to reach from many locations within this area.
