On the other hand, commuting by bicycle is at times challenging in this part of the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area as cyclists are faced with a significant amount of slopes. Nonetheless, this city has a reasonably good cycling infrastructure, and some bicycling-friendly pockets exist. The preferred method of transportation in City of North Vancouver is often driving. It is convenient to access a parking spot, and most properties for sale are a short drive from the nearest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway. However, the public transit network in City of North Vancouver is not particularly practical. Nevertheless, the city is connected by about 10 bus lines, and most residences are very close to a bus stop.

A general and a specialty grocery store is always only a reasonably short walk away in this city.
