Driving is a great mode of transportation in Upper Lands. Nearby highways, such as Highway 99, are reasonably easy to drive to from anywhere in this part of West Vancouver, and it is very convenient to park. However, getting around by public transit is very hard in this area. Upper Lands is not very bike-friendly because the bicycling network is not very comprehensive, and cyclists encounter quite a few slopes. A majority of the houses for sale in this part of West Vancouver are located in places that are also not very suitable for those who travel by foot as almost no daily needs can be met by walking.
Services
High schools and primary schools are not very numerous in this neighbourhood, and therefore tend to require an extended walk to get to. Moreover, it can be very difficult to walk to daycares from homes for sale in this part of West Vancouver. Regarding food, shopping for one's groceries very often demands the use of a car in Upper Lands.
Character
Upper Lands offers a wide selection of green spaces to enjoy. It is easy to get to public green spaces in the neighbourhood, since there are approximately 10 of them close by for residents to check out and the majority of houses for sale have a park a short walk away. Finally, as there are very few pedestrians, this part of West Vancouver is relatively serene.
