More specifically, the neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most houses. It is also easy for people travelling on foot to move around in Eastmount; many daily errands can be run without the use of a vehicle, and a variety of businesses are quite close by. Eastmount is not especially suited for cycling because bike riders encounter a considerable amount of hills. Nonetheless, the bicycling infrastructure is quite extensive.

Eastmount offers a relaxed ambience and will appeal to those who enjoy spending time outdoors. This area is quiet overall, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour. Lastly, there are a few green spaces nearby for residents to unwind in, making it very easy to reach them from many locations within the neighbourhood.
