Transportation

Driving is an excellent mode of transportation in this area. The majority of real estate listings are a rather short car ride from the nearest highway, such as Highway 401, and it is very convenient to come across a place to park. On the other hand, Longwoods is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is linked by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most homes. Longwoods is not very conducive to those who travel by foot since few common errands can be run without the use of a car.

Services

Purchasing one's groceries generally demands the use of a car in Longwoods. There are a few options for those who appreciate nearby restaurants and cafes. With regards to education, there are no high schools and no primary schools in this neighbourhood. Furthermore, it can be very hard to walk to daycares from houses for sale in this part of the city.

Character

Most areas in Longwoods are reasonably quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour - although there are still several louder sections, especially around Highway 401 or Highway 402.
