Val-Bélair is not very conducive to those who travel by foot because very few common errands can be run without the use of a car. Getting around by bicycle is also sometimes difficult in this part of Québec as there are quite a few hills. Nevertheless, some bike-friendly areas can be found, and the cycling infrastructure is good.
