Oliver is a very good neighbourhood with respect to getting around without driving. With Grandin Station with access to the Metro Line and Capital Line, and approximately 10 nearby bus lines, the public transit network in this area is fairly good. This area is also very conducive to those who travel by foot; running day-to-day errands is very convenient on foot, and a good number of businesses of different types can be found as well. Oliver is very appropriate for biking as the cycling infrastructure is great.

It is usually an option for property owners in this area to buy general and specialty groceries on foot. Additionally, there are a fair number of opportunities in close proximity for those who value restaurants and cafes. It is also a rather short distance to a reasonable variety of clothing stores. Character
No matter what type of character home buyers prefer in a neighbourhood, Oliver is a reasonably good option. Finding things to do is easy in this neighbourhood. Although the nightlife is limited, there are crowds of people around most of the time. Oliver is reasonably quiet, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic. Public green spaces, like Victoria Park, are very well-spread out and there are a few of them nearby for residents to check out, which makes it very easy to access them.
