About Living in Squamish, British Columbia


This municipality is very car friendly. It is especially convenient to park, and nearby highways are reasonably easy to reach from any location in Squamish. In contrast, getting around by public transit is challenging in Squamish. Thankfully, the municipality is connected by a few bus lines, and most houses are close to a bus stop. Squamish is not very well-suited for those who travel by foot since meeting daily needs is challenging.


It can be difficult to access high schools and primary schools on foot from properties for sale in Squamish. Additionally, families may find it challenging to reach daycares as a pedestrian. As far as eating is concerned, reaching the nearest supermarket by walking is feasible for some, but not all, property owners in Squamish. Residents can enjoy over 50 restaurants and cafes as well.


Squamish is fairly good for those who enjoy a quiet atmosphere, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour - however some parts can be quite loud, especially closer to the railway line or the airport (YSE).
