Driving is an excellent means of transportation in this parish. The majority of properties for sale are a reasonably short car ride from the closest highway, and accessing a parking spot is quite easy. This parish is not very suitable for those who travel by foot as most daily needs are very challenging to meet by walking.

There are no high schools and no primary schools in Dalhousie. Likewise, it can be very hard to reach daycares on foot. With respect to eating, it is very rarely an option for property owners in this parish to access the closest supermarket by walking.
Character
Dalhousie is reasonably quiet overall, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue - although there are still several noisier sections, especially around the railway line.
