This area is a fairly good part of Oshawa for travelling by car. It is straightforward to come across a parking spot. However, Samac is not very transit friendly. Thankfully, residents have access to a few bus lines, and it is very easy to get to a nearby bus stop from most homes. Samac is not particularly well-suited for walking since many daily needs are at times difficult to carry out without having to resort to a vehicle.

It is easy to access the nearest grocery store on foot from anywhere in Samac. Residents are served by about 20 restaurants and cafes as well. With regards to education, parents and their children will appreciate that wherever their home is situated in this part of Oshawa, primary schools and daycares are nearby. On the other hand, there are no high schools in Samac.
Character
The character of Samac is exemplified by its slower-paced ambience. This part of Oshawa is reasonably quiet, as there are low levels of noise from traffic. Finally, there are around 10 public green spaces nearby for residents to visit and they are very well-spread out, which makes them very easy to get to from the majority of locations within this area.
