Driving is a great medium of transportation in Abbotsford. Parking is generally easy. In contrast, the public transit service in Abbotsford is not very frequent. Nonetheless, the city is connected by about 30 bus lines, and the closest bus stop is usually relatively close by. Abbotsford is not very conducive to walking because many daily needs are impractical to meet without the use of a car.

High schools and primary schools are not very abundant in Abbotsford, and thus tend to require an extended walk to get to. Moreover, families may find it difficult to reach daycares as a pedestrian. Concerning food, some, but not all, home buyers in Abbotsford will live within walking distance of one of about 40 grocery stores.
