Transportation

Cars are a very good mode of transportation in Surrey. It is very convenient to access a parking spot. However, the public transit system in this city is not very convenient. Nonetheless, there is the Surrey Central Station, Scott Road Station and King George Station with access to the Expo Line. Commuters can depend on a multitude of rapid transit stations on the Expo Line. The city is connected by over 50 bus lines, and it is convenient to reach a nearby bus stop from most properties. Walking is not especially practical for house buyers in Surrey because few day-to-day needs can be met on foot. Getting around by bicycle is also sometimes challenging in Surrey as riding is rendered arduous by the often steep topography, and there are a limited number of bike lanes.

Services

Families will appreciate that wherever their home is situated in this city, primary schools are nearby. On the other hand, high schools are not especially numerous and therefore not always within walking distance. Families benefit from public and private schools at both the primary and secondary school level. With respect to eating, it is often feasible for home buyers in Surrey to shop for their groceries on foot. A small selection of restaurants and coffee shops can be found as well.

Character

The character of Surrey is exemplified by its relaxed environment. This part of the Greater Vancouver metropolitan area is reasonably good for those who prefer a quiet atmosphere, as the streets are generally quite peaceful - although that is not the case closer to one of the railway lines, Highway 17 or Highway 99. Finally, green spaces are very well-spread out and there are over 900 of them close by for residents to check out, making it easy to reach them from a large number of locations within Surrey.
